The Volunteer Firemen Monument located on the grounds of the Texas State Capital in Austin, Texas. The monument is situated on the Great Walk and is at the very entrance to the Capital grounds. It was originally built in 1896 by Frank Teich, the monument has since been altered including shortening of the granite base and the removal of the granite statue atop, being replaced with the bronze statue seen now. Names of firemen killed in the line of duty are still added to the monument.
